The Stroke Clinic, which was opened in the 1990s to gain better expertise in treating cerebrovascular diseases, was expanded into the present-day Cerebrovascular Center to strengthen the cerebrovascular disease treatment system.
In recognition of its unique expertise in the field of cerebrovascular disease, the center was selected as a “pilot hospital for specialized cerebrovascular disease treatment” by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2005, even before the introduction of the specialty hospital program, and it has been the sole hospital in Korea to be designated as a “hospital specializing in cerebrovascular disease treatment” for five years in a row.

In order to avoid any gaps in the treatment of cerebrovascular diseases where every second counts, we provide surgery and procedures 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
There is a resident neurosurgeon and 37 full-time doctors in the departments of neurology, emergency medicine, rehabilitation medicine, and internal medicine.
