Greetings,
I am Heo Choon-woong, the founder and chairman of Myongji St. Mary’s Hospital.
Myongji St. Mary's Hospital, founded in 1984 with the aim of becoming a “partner for patients battling diseases,” has become the one and only general hospital in Seoul Capital Area that specializes in treating cerebrovascular diseases from the acute stage to the ultimate treatment, based on 40 years of relentless research
Myongji St. Mary's Hospital was well-aware of the need for and importance of cerebrovascular disease treatment in the 1990s, when the concept of “specialized medical centers” was relatively unknown, and with the expansion of the Stroke Center, it became known as a leading stroke hospital. In 2005, we were selected as the pilot hospital for the treatment of cerebrovascular disease in Korea, and we have been dedicating ourselves to cerebrovascular disease treatment ever since.
Over the past 40 years, we have faced many adversities and hardships due to unexpected disasters, epidemics, and changes in the medical environment, but we have invested considerably in our medical facilities and manpower to grow into a hospital that patients can trust and contribute to the betterment of healthcare services in our local community.
We will continue to do our best to provide improved medical services for the next 40 years.

I’m Heo Joon, President of Myongji St. Mary’s Hospital.
It has been 40 years since Myongji St. Mary's Hospital opened its doors with an objective to promote the health of patients. Our hospital has a total of 10 specialized medical centers, including the Cerebrovascular Center, which is our mainstay as a hospital specializing in cerebrovascular disease treatment, as well as the Rehabilitation Center, Cardiovascular Center, Vascular Intervention Center, and Healthcare Center.
Our hospital has also been certified as a medical institution by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and obtained Class I ratings in various areas of treatment such as acute stroke, dementia asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) by the Korea Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, attesting to our excellent quality in the healthcare services we provide. In particular, we earned the Class I rating nine times in a row in recognition of our expertise in treating cerebrovascular diseases.
Myongji St. Mary's Hospital is dedicated to recruiting excellent healthcare professionals and introducing the latest testing equipment and treatment devices to provide prompt and accurate medical services to patients.
